Meet the Busy Lizzies at Simon Balle team

Our experienced, fully trained & qualified staff...

We provide a staffing ratio above the Welfare requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage to ensure that children have sufficient individual attention and to guarantee care and education of a high quality.

Each child’s dedicated Key Person will be on hand to record your child’s achievements and share them with you at regular intervals. Your child’s Key Person will shadow them to ensure they are involved in a variety of activities throughout the day. They structure your child’s day through regular planning with all members of our qualified team and make staff aware of any special needs they may have. We are confident that our staff provides the very best care for your child at all times and are totally committed to their development. All of our Key Persons are fully qualified; Paediatric first aid trained, safeguarding trained and together have over 60 years of combined childcare experience.

I am a Mum to two boys who attend Simon Balle and am qualified to NVQ3 level in childcare, have attended an Advanced Safeguarding children course and am the Designated Safeguarding Person and Officer. I work in the Nursery and wrap around clubs and am passionate that each and every child should receive the very best exceptional care in the early years, that learning should be fun, exciting, stimulating and extended through play with creative activities and imaginative role play areas that build on the children’s interests. As with all our team members I am a qualified paediatric first aider which is renewed every 3 years by attending a 12 hour course. I am Wellcome speech therapy and Makaton level 1 and 2 trained and hold a food hygiene and safety level 2 certificate.

I am Mr Busy Lizzie! I started working with children 5 years ago after leaving my role as a bank manager. During this time, I have worked as a Teaching Assistant in year 6 at Bengeo school and passed CACHE level 2 and CACHE level 3 diploma in childcare. I have also attended a designated safeguarding course, hold a food hygiene level 2 certificate and I am a qualified paediatric first aider. I work in the breakfast and afterschool club each day and run the holiday clubs.

I am qualified to level 3 in childcare and work in the Nursery and after school club. I have 3 boys and am a Grandma to a beautiful granddaughter and Grandson. I have over 25 years experience working with children as a Nanny and child minder. I have attended designated safeguarding training, am Makaton level 1 and 2 trained and am also a qualified paediatric first aid.

I am a Mum of two children and have over 15 years experience of working with children. I previously worked at Busy Lizzies sister setting Bengeo Playgroup which was awarded outstanding where I stayed for 5 years before transferring to Simon Balle. I am qualified to level 3 in childcare, have attended a designated safeguarding course and am paedaitric first aid trained.

I am a Mum of 3, all of which attend Simon Balle and I work in the Nursery. I have a Level 3 qualification in childcare and have 6 years experience working with children ranging from preschool to reception ages. I have attended a safeguarding course and am paediatric first aid trained. I am also the Senco for the setting.

I am a Mum of two children, one of whom is currently attending Simon Balle. I have over 25 years experience working with children and particularly enjoy the arts and crafts activities and getting messy! I hold a level 3 in childcare, am paediatric first aid trained and have attended safeguarding courses. I work in the Nursery and Breakfast Club.

I am a Mum of two children. I am level 3 qualified and have 10 years experience working in the early years. I am paediatirc first aid trained and have attended the relevant safeguarding courses. I work in the nursery, breakfast and afterschool provision.

Megan Spragg

I am Miss Megan and have been working in the Nursery and Wrap care for over a year now. I enjoy spending my time with the children and helping them learn through play, so much so that I have decided to train for my Early Years Teaching degree this year to go alongside my degree in Criminology. I have completed all relevant safeguarding training courses and look forward to continuing my career in teaching early years.

I work in the Nursery and wrap clubs and am a Mum of one and NVQ 2 level qualified. I moved to the Simon Balle setting after gaining my experience at Busy Lizzies Kids Club. I am paediatric first aid trained, have attended safeguarding training and hold a food hygiene and safety level 2 certificate.

I work in the afterschool club and am the mother of two adult children, one girl, one boy. I spent many years working in schools as a one to one with special needs children and then as a teaching assistant for over 12 years. I absolutely love working with children. I have two dogs and one cat and try to grow lots of vegetables – not always successfully! I have attended safeguarding course and hold a food hygiene and safety level 2 certificate.

I have worked within the early years sector for 20 years and joined Busy Lizzies in September 2020. I am level 3 qualified in early years and have attended the relevant safeguarding courses and am also paediatric first aid trained. I am a Mum of two grown up children aged 30 and 23. In my spare time I enjoy socialising and theater trips.

I have a level 3 qualification in sports development and have enjoyed coaching at Tottenham and have been a kit man for the 1st team. I enjoy my various roles at Busy Lizzies and have attended the relevant safeguarding courses. I work in the breakfast club each morning.
